The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.86.12

तत्र मासाद्गतो वृद्धिं मुनिमन्दाहुतिक्रमः ।
अमृताब्धौ शुभो गर्भ इन्दोरिन्दुरिवानुजः ॥ १२ ॥

tatra māsādgato vṛddhiṃ munimandāhutikramaḥ |
amṛtābdhau śubho garbha indorindurivānujaḥ || 12 ||

The muni neglected his sacred offering and brooded over the pot, as a bird hatches over its egg; and it was in a course of a month that the foetus grew up in the pot of milk, as the reflection of the crescent moon increases in the bosom of the milky ocean.
