Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

देहनाडीप्रणालेन याति शुक्रं बहिः स्वतः ॥ १४४ ॥
dehanāḍīpraṇālena yāti śukraṃ bahiḥ svataḥ || 144 ||
The semen then passes out of the body by the canals of the veins and arteries, as the running waters pass through the channels and canals of a river.
