The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तयोस्तदाऽवहत्कालो दंपत्योः स्थितयोस्तथा ।
अदृष्टान्योन्यमुखयो राज्यकाननपालयोः ॥ १८ ॥

tayostadā'vahatkālo daṃpatyoḥ sthitayostathā |
adṛṣṭānyonyamukhayo rājyakānanapālayoḥ || 18 ||

In this manner they passed their days without seeing one another, and the conjugal pair lived separated from each other; in their respective habitations of the royal palace and the solitary forest.
