The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ददर्शाथ यथायातं रात्रौ खङ्गधरं पतिम् ।
भ्रमन्तमेकमेकान्ते वेतालसमयोदितम् ॥ १० ॥

dadarśātha yathāyātaṃ rātrau khaṅgadharaṃ patim |
bhramantamekamekānte vetālasamayoditam || 10 ||

As she was passing at the night time, she happened to behold her lord roving about with a sword in his hand; and appearing as a ghost of a vetala or demon wandering in the solitary forest.
