The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.84.50

भानावदृश्यतां याते तत्र स्नानादिपूर्वकम् ।
किंचित्फलादिकं भुक्त्वा तां निनाय तमस्विनीम् ॥ ५० ॥

bhānāvadṛśyatāṃ yāte tatra snānādipūrvakam |
kiṃcitphalādikaṃ bhuktvā tāṃ nināya tamasvinīm || 50 ||

The sun departing from sight left him to the darkness of night, when he performed his bathing and the daily rite; and having eaten some root or fruit which he could get, he passed the night resting on the barren ground under him.
