The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आगच्छतोरिदं पारं ह्यघतीक्ष्णकरोज्झितम् ।
निशानिशानायकयोर्दंपत्योर्मैरवं पुनः ॥ ३८ ॥

āgacchatoridaṃ pāraṃ hyaghatīkṣṇakarojjhitam |
niśāniśānāyakayordaṃpatyormairavaṃ punaḥ || 38 ||

Now sable night accompanied by her lord the nocturnal luminary, advanced on this side of the southern hemisphere; to sport as a loving couple with this cooling light and shade.
