The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.84.12

शिखिध्वज उवाच ।
भुक्तं राज्यं चिरं कालं भुक्ता विभवभूमयः ।
अधुनास्मि विरागेण युक्तो गच्छामि काननम् ॥ १२ ॥

śikhidhvaja uvāca |
bhuktaṃ rājyaṃ ciraṃ kālaṃ bhuktā vibhavabhūmayaḥ |
adhunāsmi virāgeṇa yukto gacchāmi kānanam || 12 ||

Sikhidvaja said:—I have long tasted the pleasures of my realm, and enjoyed the sweet and bitter of my large property and landed possessions. I am now grown as weary of them, as they are both the same and stale to me.
