The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सर्वं तूष्णात्मकं किंचित्तेजोऽर्काग्न्यभिधं विदुः ।
शीतात्मकं तु सोमाख्यमाभ्यामेव कृतं जगत् ॥ ७६ ॥

sarvaṃ tūṣṇātmakaṃ kiṃcittejo'rkāgnyabhidhaṃ viduḥ |
śītātmakaṃ tu somākhyamābhyāmeva kṛtaṃ jagat || 76 ||

All hotter lights in the world are known by the names of suns (as the planetary and cometary bodies); and all colder lights are designated as moons (as the stars and satellites) and as these two lights cherish the world, it is named as the suryagni and somagni also.
