Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.81.5

अपानतामुपागत्य सततं प्रवहत्यधः ।
समाना नाभिमध्यस्था उदानाख्योपरि स्थिता ॥ ५ ॥

apānatāmupāgatya satataṃ pravahatyadhaḥ |
samānā nābhimadhyasthā udānākhyopari sthitā || 5 ||

The intellect abides in Kundalini entrails in the form of triple winds. Being deposited in the bowels and passing downwards, it takes the name of the apana wind; moving about the abdomen it is called the samana wind; and when seated in the chest it rises upwards, it is known by the name of the udana wind.
