The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.81.4

अहंकारात्मतां याता सैषा पुर्यष्टकाभिधा ।
स्थिता कुण्डलिनी देहे जीवशक्तिरनुत्तमा ॥ ४ ॥

ahaṃkārātmatāṃ yātā saiṣā puryaṣṭakābhidhā |
sthitā kuṇḍalinī dehe jīvaśaktiranuttamā || 4 ||

It becomes egoism with its octuple properties called the puryashtakas, and remains as the principle of vitality in the body in the form of the Kundalini artery.
