The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.80.76

इन्द्रियाणि च पुष्पादि विषयामोदवर्ति हि ।
इच्छाभ्रमर्यो राजन्त्यो मञ्जर्यश्चञ्चलक्रियाः ॥ ७६ ॥

indriyāṇi ca puṣpādi viṣayāmodavarti hi |
icchābhramaryo rājantyo mañjaryaścañcalakriyāḥ || 76 ||

The organs of sense are the flowers of this tree (of the body), and the sensations of their objects are as the fragrance of those flowers, our wishes are as the bees fluttering about the pistils and filaments of our fickle efforts and exertions.
