The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.80.45

यथा कुण्डलिनी देहे स्फुरत्यब्ज इवालिनी ।
तथा संविदुदेत्यन्तर्मृदुस्पर्शवशोदया ॥ ४५ ॥

yathā kuṇḍalinī dehe sphuratyabja ivālinī |
tathā saṃvidudetyantarmṛdusparśavaśodayā || 45 ||

As the Kundalini thrills in the body, in the manner of a bee fluttering over a flower; so doth our consciousness throb in the mind, and has the perception of the nice and delicate sensations.
