The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.76.13

भगीरथेन च महीमवतारयितुं दिवः ।
गङ्गां गृहीतो नियमस्ततःप्रभृति भूभृता ॥ १३ ॥

bhagīrathena ca mahīmavatārayituṃ divaḥ |
gaṅgāṃ gṛhīto niyamastataḥprabhṛti bhūbhṛtā || 13 ||

The king Bhagiratha was thenceforward resolved, to bring down the holy Ganga of heaven to the nether world.
