The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अभिननन्दतुरागतमुत्तमौ निजसमाचरणक्रमजं मुनी ।
सुखमसौख्यमभीप्सितवर्जितौ समसमेऽतिसमौ शमिनौ स्वतः ॥ २१ ॥

abhinanandaturāgatamuttamau nijasamācaraṇakramajaṃ munī |
sukhamasaukhyamabhīpsitavarjitau samasame'tisamau śaminau svataḥ || 21 ||

They like silent sages, hailed with complaisance, whatever of good or evil, or desirable or undesirable befell to their lot, as the unavoidable results of their prior deeds; and had their repose in the heavenly felicity, to which they had assimilated themselves.
