The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.72.5

सद्ब्रह्मात्मादिभिः शब्दैर्यदेताभिर्विगीयते ।
शून्यमव्यपदेशं ते न तत्किंचिच्च किंचन ॥ ५ ॥

sadbrahmātmādibhiḥ śabdairyadetābhirvigīyate |
śūnyamavyapadeśaṃ te na tatkiṃcicca kiṃcana || 5 ||

The words ens, soul and Brahma by which God is designated, are not significant of his nature, who is devoid of all designations like the empty void, and indescribable (avyapadesa) in any word in use.
