The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अविद्येयं तु नास्तीति बुद्ध्वा युक्तियुतं धिया ।
ज्ञानादेव परावाप्तिस्तदभ्यासस्ततः परम् ॥ ५४ ॥

avidyeyaṃ tu nāstīti buddhvā yuktiyutaṃ dhiyā |
jñānādeva parāvāptistadabhyāsastataḥ param || 54 ||

There is an end of our ignorance and delusion (avidya), as we attempt to the words of wisdom and reason;we gain our best knowledge by learning, but it is by practice alone, that we can have the object of our knowledge.
