The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
यदि हि प्राणविलयो मुने मोक्षस्य कारणम् ।
मृता एव विमुच्यन्ते तन्मन्ये सर्वजन्तवः ॥ २८ ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
yadi hi prāṇavilayo mune mokṣasya kāraṇam |
mṛtā eva vimucyante tanmanye sarvajantavaḥ || 28 ||

Rama rejoined:—Now sir, if it is suppression which constitutes the liberation of these men;then I may as well say that all dead men are liberated, as well as all dead animals also.
