The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.69.18

सम्यग्ज्ञानावबोधेन नित्यमेकसमाधिना ।
संख्ययैवावबुद्धा ये ते स्मृताः सांख्ययोगिनः ॥ १८ ॥

samyagjñānāvabodhena nityamekasamādhinā |
saṃkhyayaivāvabuddhā ye te smṛtāḥ sāṃkhyayoginaḥ || 18 ||

It is by the knowledge of all kinds of knowledge, and constant devotion to meditation; and by the study of the numerical philosophy of particulars in the sankhya system, that men became renowned as sankhya yogis or categorical philosopher.
