The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.68.1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
सुषुप्तमौनवान्भूत्वा त्यक्त्वा चित्तविलासिताम् ।
कलनामलनिर्मुक्तस्तिष्ठावष्टब्धतत्पदः ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
suṣuptamaunavānbhūtvā tyaktvā cittavilāsitām |
kalanāmalanirmuktastiṣṭhāvaṣṭabdhatatpadaḥ || 1 ||

Vasishtha said:—Rama! remain as taciturn as in your silent sleep, and shun at a distance the musings of your mind; get rid of the vagaries of your imagination, and remain firm in the state Brahma.
