The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.67.17

पातालं ब्रह्मलोकं वा चित्तत्सुकृतशालिनी ।
चित्तांशस्पन्दमात्रेण कृत्वा कृत्वेव संस्थिता ॥ १७ ॥

pātālaṃ brahmalokaṃ vā cittatsukṛtaśālinī |
cittāṃśaspandamātreṇa kṛtvā kṛtveva saṃsthitā || 17 ||

The godly intellect frames the celestial and infernal regions in our dreams, by the slight vibration of the mind at its pleasure; and then takes a delight in rambling over and dwelling in them.
