The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.65.14

भिक्षुरेकोऽस्तिनास्तीति प्रेक्ष्य प्रातर्वदाम्यहम् ।
वाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
मुनौ चैवं कथयति बहिर्मध्याह्नडिण्डिमः ॥ १४ ॥

bhikṣureko'stināstīti prekṣya prātarvadāmyaham |
vālmīkiruvāca |
munau caivaṃ kathayati bahirmadhyāhnaḍiṇḍimaḥ || 14 ||

Valmiki said:—As the sage was saying in this manner, the royal garrison tolled the trumpet of the departing day with beat of drum; which filled the sky with the loud roar of diluvian clouds.
