The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.64.24

इत्येकध्यानसाफल्यं दृष्टान्तोऽस्यां क्रियास्थितौ ।
एकत्वं च बहुत्वं च मौर्ख्यं पाण्डित्यमेव वा ॥ २४ ॥

ityekadhyānasāphalyaṃ dṛṣṭānto'syāṃ kriyāsthitau |
ekatvaṃ ca bahutvaṃ ca maurkhyaṃ pāṇḍityameva vā || 24 ||

This instance of Rudra serves for an example, of the efficacy of intense thought and practice of all men; who may become one or another or many more, as also learned or ignorant, agreeably to their thought and conduct.
