The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.63.11

सर्वभावोपमर्देन तदभ्यासवशात्तदा ।
तामेव सोऽन्वभूद्भिक्षुस्त्यक्त्वान्यं मननोदयम् ॥ ११ ॥

sarvabhāvopamardena tadabhyāsavaśāttadā |
tāmeva so'nvabhūdbhikṣustyaktvānyaṃ mananodayam || 11 ||

He buried all his former thoughts in oblivion, and thought only of the object that he was employed to reflect upon; and this thought so engrossed and worked upon his mind, that it prevented the rise of any other thought in it.
