The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आकस्मिकं जलं व्योम्नि ध्रियते भूतगं यथा ।
वितानमिव खे वारि तिष्ठति स्वर्णदी यथा ॥ २२ ॥

ākasmikaṃ jalaṃ vyomni dhriyate bhūtagaṃ yathā |
vitānamiva khe vāri tiṣṭhati svarṇadī yathā || 22 ||

The natural water of the elements remains in the sky, (that is, in the cloud), when the heavenly river Mandakini remains in vacuity.
