The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नगराण्यम्बरे सन्ति यथा वैमानिकाश्रयाः ।
शिलास्वब्जानि जायन्ते हेमाद्राविव पादपाः ॥ १८ ॥

nagarāṇyambare santi yathā vaimānikāśrayāḥ |
śilāsvabjāni jāyante hemādrāviva pādapāḥ || 18 ||

Good many cities exist in vacuity, as birds and stars remain in the sky. We find lotus in a stone like trees growing without an earth.
