The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तदसंकल्पमस्पन्दं सर्वं जातमवारितम् ।
स्पन्दे स्पन्दमये वाते तन्मयत्वात्सदा चिता ॥ ४५ ॥

tadasaṃkalpamaspandaṃ sarvaṃ jātamavāritam |
spande spandamaye vāte tanmayatvātsadā citā || 45 ||

It is therefore, that the wise practise the restraint of their respiring breath, in order to restraint their desires and actions;and being devoid of these, they become as the pure Intellect.
