The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.59.16

यस्य खस्येव शून्यत्वं स महात्मेह तद्वपुः ।
भावाद्वैतपदारूढः सुषुप्तपरया धिया ॥ १६ ॥

yasya khasyeva śūnyatvaṃ sa mahātmeha tadvapuḥ |
bhāvādvaitapadārūḍhaḥ suṣuptaparayā dhiyā || 16 ||

He whose mind is as vacant as the empty air, is called a mahatma or great soul, and his mind resting in the state of unity, remains with the body in a state of sound sleep. (But this evenness is inadmissible in business and behaviour to a preceptor. So it is said, [Sanskrit: [mostly illegible]].
