The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न केचन विदन्त्येते तत्पदं जागतादयः ।
भूतलाद्गगनोड्डीनं विहंगममिवोन्नतम् ॥ ४ ॥

na kecana vidantyete tatpadaṃ jāgatādayaḥ |
bhūtalādgaganoḍḍīnaṃ vihaṃgamamivonnatam || 4 ||

No worldly being can observe this elevated state of the soul, as no body can see the bird that has fled from the earth into the upper sky.
