The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.53.25

तत ईषद्यदुत्थानमीषदन्यतयोदितम् ।
स जगत्प्रतिभासोऽयमाकाशमिव शून्यता ॥ २५ ॥

tata īṣadyadutthānamīṣadanyatayoditam |
sa jagatpratibhāso'yamākāśamiva śūnyatā || 25 ||

It then bulges out a little from itself, and appears as something, other than what it is. It is this reflection of the universe, but all as empty as this inane vacuity.
