Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निर्ममो निरहंकारः समदुःखसुखः क्षमी ।
यः स कार्यमकार्यं वा कुर्वन्नपि न लिप्यते ॥ १२ ॥

nirmamo nirahaṃkāraḥ samaduḥkhasukhaḥ kṣamī |
yaḥ sa kāryamakāryaṃ vā kurvannapi na lipyate || 12 ||

He who is devoid of his selfishness and egotism, and is alike patient both in prosperity and adversity, is neither affected nor dejected, whether he does his business or not.
