The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अद्यापूर्वाभिधं स्वप्ने यथा पश्यति नान्यथा ।
अग्रदृष्टं तथैवार्थं चेतनं चित्प्रपश्यति ॥ ४६ ॥

adyāpūrvābhidhaṃ svapne yathā paśyati nānyathā |
agradṛṣṭaṃ tathaivārthaṃ cetanaṃ citprapaśyati || 46 ||

As the living soul sees in its dream the objects that it has seen before, so the intellectual part of the soul sees also many things, which were unknown to it.
