The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यत्संश्लेषमुपायाति तद्बालोऽपि हि विन्दति ।
पशुर्वा स्थावरो वापि जीवः कस्मान्न वेत्स्यति ॥ ३२ ॥

yatsaṃśleṣamupāyāti tadbālo'pi hi vindati |
paśurvā sthāvaro vāpi jīvaḥ kasmānna vetsyati || 32 ||

Even babes can know whatever comes in taction with them, and so do brutes and vegetables have the power of feeling the objects of their touch; how then is it possible for the sensuous soul to be ignorant of its tangible objects?
