The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रोत्रं चक्षुः स्पर्शनं च रसनं घ्राणमेव च ।
विद्यमानमपि ब्रह्मन्दृश्यमानमपि स्फुटम् ॥ ४ ॥

śrotraṃ cakṣuḥ sparśanaṃ ca rasanaṃ ghrāṇameva ca |
vidyamānamapi brahmandṛśyamānamapi sphuṭam || 4 ||

We see the organs of sense, as the ears, nose, eyes, mouth and touch, existing alike in all animals.
