The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चित्क्षेत्रे कलनाबीजं यदेतत्पतति स्फुरन् ।
चित्ताङ्कुरं तदेतस्माद्भाविसंसारखण्डकः ॥ ३३ ॥

citkṣetre kalanābījaṃ yadetatpatati sphuran |
cittāṅkuraṃ tadetasmādbhāvisaṃsārakhaṇḍakaḥ || 33 ||

As the seed of imagination falls in the field of the intellect, it shoots forth in the sprout of the mind, which becomes the germ of the wide spreading arbor of the universe.
