The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा शिलान्तर्लेखादि भिद्यते न शिलान्तरात् ।
तत्सारत्वाज्जगत्कर्तृ कर्तृत्वादिजगच्चितिः ॥ ३६ ॥
yathā śilāntarlekhādi bhidyate na śilāntarāt |
tatsāratvājjagatkartṛ kartṛtvādijagaccitiḥ || 36 ||
There is no rising nor setting (i.e. the beginning or end), of the course of the world (in the mind of God); but every thing is as fixed and immovable in it, as the inscription carved in a stone.
