The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.45.24

अयं पुरः पार्श्वतोऽयं पश्चादाराद्दवीयसी ।
इदं भूतं वर्तमानं भविष्यत्त्विदमित्यपि ॥ २४ ॥

ayaṃ puraḥ pārśvato'yaṃ paścādārāddavīyasī |
idaṃ bhūtaṃ vartamānaṃ bhaviṣyattvidamityapi || 24 ||

It perceives one thing to be placed before, and another to be situated beside it; it finds some thing to be behind, and others to be near or afar from it; and then it comes to know some things as present and others as past or yet to come before it.
