The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.42.16

सर्वं संकल्परूपेण चिच्चमत्कुरुते चिति ।
स्वप्नपत्तननिर्माणपातोत्पातनवज्जगत् ॥ १६ ॥

sarvaṃ saṃkalparūpeṇa ciccamatkurute citi |
svapnapattananirmāṇapātotpātanavajjagat || 16 ||

All these are the wondrous phenomena of our ideas and wishes (sankalpas), exhibited by the intellect in itself; and this world is like the appearance of an aerial castle in the dream, and subject to its rise and fall by turns.
