The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.41.42

एतत्पुर्यष्टकं विद्धि देहोऽयं चातिवाहिकः ।
अपारबोधमेतत्तु स्फुरत्यङ्ग विभागवत् ॥ ४२ ॥

etatpuryaṣṭakaṃ viddhi deho'yaṃ cātivāhikaḥ |
apārabodhametattu sphuratyaṅga vibhāgavat || 42 ||

Know this to be ativahika or spiritual body, and containing the eight elementary senses, wherefore it is called the puryashtaka also;and these are developed afterwards in the organs of sense.
