The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

फेनावर्तविवर्तान्तर्वर्तिनी रसरूपिणी ।
कठिनेन्द्रियसंबन्धे करोति स्पन्दमम्भसाम् ॥ ४ ॥

phenāvartavivartāntarvartinī rasarūpiṇī |
kaṭhinendriyasaṃbandhe karoti spandamambhasām || 4 ||

This power of the intellect, moves in the forms of froth and foam, and eddies and whirl pools in the sea; and rolls its waters against the hard stones of the beach.
