The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.35.10

चिदात्मा खादपि स्वच्छो न विनश्यति किं भ्रमैः ।
मनःप्राणमये देहे चित्तत्त्वं परिजायते ॥ १० ॥

cidātmā khādapi svaccho na vinaśyati kiṃ bhramaiḥ |
manaḥprāṇamaye dehe cittattvaṃ parijāyate || 10 ||

The intellectual is more rarefied and translucent than the ethereal air, and never perishes with the body; because it remains as the power of intellection, in the mental (percipient) and living body.
