223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.34.5

शुद्धा निरंशा सत्या वाऽसत्या वेत्येवमादिभिः ।
विमुक्ता नामशब्दार्थैः सर्वैः सर्वात्मिकापि खम् ॥ ५ ॥

śuddhā niraṃśā satyā vā'satyā vetyevamādibhiḥ |
vimuktā nāmaśabdārthaiḥ sarvaiḥ sarvātmikāpi kham || 5 ||

Its true nature is free from all designation, and application of any significant term or its sense to it; and the words pure, undivided, real or unreal, bear no relation to what is an all pervasive vacuity.
