The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चितेः कलङ्कवैरूप्यमिति संसारतां गतम् ।
अकलङ्कमसंसारि तच्चाभिन्नाद्वयात्मकम् ॥ २ ॥

citeḥ kalaṅkavairūpyamiti saṃsāratāṃ gatam |
akalaṅkamasaṃsāri taccābhinnādvayātmakam || 2 ||

It is the disfigurement of the intellect by foul ignorance, that views the outer world as distinct from its maker; but to the clear sighted there is no separate outer world, but both blend together in the unity.
