The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.32.15

गतेव भिन्नेवास्त्येवमत्यजन्ती निजं पदम् ।
जलतेव तरङ्गत्वं सैवासदसदोदिता ॥ १५ ॥

gateva bhinnevāstyevamatyajantī nijaṃ padam |
jalateva taraṅgatvaṃ saivāsadasadoditā || 15 ||

Sometimes it seems to be of a different form, without forsaking its own nature; as the milk becomes the butter and curd etc. and as the water appears in the shape of a billow or wave or of its foam or froth.
