The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.32.9

प्रविस्मृतस्वभावा हि चिच्चित्तत्वमुपागता ।
मोहापहतचित्तत्वात्सुमहानिव दीनताम् ॥ ९ ॥

pravismṛtasvabhāvā hi ciccittatvamupāgatā |
mohāpahatacittatvātsumahāniva dīnatām || 9 ||

It is by unmindfulness of its own essence, that the intellect is transformed to the sensuous mind; as some great souls are deceived to believe their miserableness in the distractedness of their intellect percipience.
