The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.31.52

क्षुभ्यन्तीव तु सा प्राणस्पन्दादित्यनुभूयते ।
सत्तामात्रस्वरूपेण जडेषु समवस्थिता ॥ ५२ ॥

kṣubhyantīva tu sā prāṇaspandādityanubhūyate |
sattāmātrasvarūpeṇa jaḍeṣu samavasthitā || 52 ||

It remains in the form of conscious self-existence in dull inanimate bodies; and appears to be afraid of the vibrations of animal life.
