The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यत्र यत्रानुसरति रथस्तत्रैव सारथिः ।
प्राणसंप्रेरितं चित्तं याति देशान्तरे क्षणात् ॥ ४८ ॥

yatra yatrānusarati rathastatraiva sārathiḥ |
prāṇasaṃpreritaṃ cittaṃ yāti deśāntare kṣaṇāt || 48 ||

As the carriage is driven wherever the driver wishes to drive it; so the mind being driven by the vital breath, runs from country to country in a moment.
