The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.31.46

तेजस्यसत्तामायाते न रूपमिव राजते ।
प्राणे प्रशान्ते मरुति मनोन्तर्न मनागपि ॥ ४६ ॥

tejasyasattāmāyāte na rūpamiva rājate |
prāṇe praśānte maruti manontarna manāgapi || 46 ||

Again the confinement of the vital breath in the vacuity of the heart, stops the course of the mind (thoughts); as the hiding of a light, removes the sight of the objects from view.
