The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ईषत्स्पन्दादधो याति भृगुप्रान्तात्तरोः फलम् ।
यथा तथैष संवित्तेरधःपातो महानिव ॥ २८ ॥

īṣatspandādadho yāti bhṛguprāntāttaroḥ phalam |
yathā tathaiṣa saṃvitteradhaḥpāto mahāniva || 28 ||

As a slight wind scatters the fruits of trees growing on the sides of mountain, so the consciousness of self, drops down at the gust of a slight disease, like a large tree.
