The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्रमादाबद्धवैदग्ध्याद्वैदग्ध्याङ्गमुपागता ।
विचित्रबन्धनिर्माणपराक्रमपदं गता ॥ ८७ ॥

kramādābaddhavaidagdhyādvaidagdhyāṅgamupāgatā |
vicitrabandhanirmāṇaparākramapadaṃ gatā || 87 ||

As a man advances in life, so he improves in his learning;but alas! all his worldly knowledge serves at best, but to bind down the soul fast to the earth.
