The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ईश्वर उवाच ।
श्रृण्वेतदखिलं ब्रह्मन्यदा पृष्टं वदामि ते ।
महानयं त्वया प्रश्नः कृतो ब्रह्मविदां वर ॥ ६६ ॥

īśvara uvāca |
śrṛṇvetadakhilaṃ brahmanyadā pṛṣṭaṃ vadāmi te |
mahānayaṃ tvayā praśnaḥ kṛto brahmavidāṃ vara || 66 ||

The god replied:—Hear me tell you all: O Brahman, about what you have asked me; it is a question of great importance, and requires, O greatest of theists! a long explication.
